In March 2011, David joined Jones Lang LaSalle as Managing Director of Multifamily Investment Sales for the Southeast. Together, with his partner Derrick Bloom, he founded the multifamily platform for JLL's Atlanta office. David and Derrick's team covers eight states in the Southeast region. They are dedicated to the sale, equity placement, and financing of multifamily properties.
David was previously Executive Director at Cushman and Wakefield's Apartment Brokerage Services. During his time at Cushman, David sold over $8 billion dollars in multifamily properties throughout the Southeast. He was the senior partner responsible for spearheading the team's disposition platform and oversaw a team of seven (7) brokers from the Atlanta office. Additionally, David was the lead broker for institutional clients and assets within the region.
Prior to his tenure at Cushman, David was Vice President of Development for Davis Development and was responsible for the development of over 3,000 units throughout the Southeast. He has also served as Vice President of Acquisitions for Raymond James Realty Advisors (now Simpson Housing). In this institutional capacity, together with his acquisition efforts for Claremont Company in Boston, David was responsible for the acquisition of over 8,000 units in Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, Nashville, Greenville, Tampa, Jacksonville and Orlando.
David attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in Corporate Finance with a Minor in Accounting. He earned his Master's Degree at Florida State majoring in Finance with an Emphasis in Security Analysis and Portfolio Management.
