Mr. Kousouris is an accomplished real estate professional who has held executive level positions though out his ten year career in the industry. He has successfully managed one the largest regional property management companies and led investment sales and leasing transactions for local and multi-market institutional clients. Lou has over 15 years of leadership experience between his military service and involvement in the real estate industry. He specializes in transaction management, team building, instituting operational efficiencies, financial management and analysis, strategic planning and the implementation of innovative technologies.
Prior to joining JLL, Mr. Kousouris served as President and Principal for the Baltimore office of a global third party real estate service provider. In this role, Lou was actively involved in all aspects of the companys operations. From advising institutional clients on leasing strategy and property management best practices to handling intuitional investment sales and distressed properties for special servicers, Lou has experienced success in multiple commercial real estate disciplines.
Additionally, Lou successfully led the Baltimore Regions Property Management Group to include all aspects of property management, business development and client relationship management from 2006 to 2011. Charged with managing the companys seven million plus square feet of commercial real estate projects with a total asset value of $500 million, Lou increased the overall efficiency of the operation in order to better serve clients and add value to their assets.
Before entering the commercial real estate arena, Lou spent over five years on active duty as a Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army, completing tours in Korea and Iraq and attaining the rank of Captain. After receiving an honorable discharge from the service, he spent time at PricewaterhouseCoopers before transitioning into the real estate industry.
Mr. Kousouris holds an MBA from Loyola University, Baltimore, Maryland and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York.
Member of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Parks), ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) and holds a Maryland Real Estate License.
Mr. Kousouris is the Vice President of the board at the Baltimore Station a residential recovery and treatment program for homeless veterans suffering from addiction. He also serves on the executive committee of Camp PuhTok for Boys and Girls located in Monkton, Maryland which strives to bring diverse groups of children together in an outdoor environment to promote leadership, teamwork and an appreciation of nature. He previously served as a board member for Midstate Community Bank and on the Executive Committee of the Baltimore Heart Ball.
