Bill Barrack joined JLL's Boston office in 1984. He is a Managing Director and his current responsibilities include oversight of the firm's New England Leasing Group. He specializes in representing first-class office tenants in Boston.
Bill has directed the strategy and real estate planning processes for many of Boston's premier firms including; Hancock Natural Resources Group, Marsh & McClennan, McDermott, Will & Emery, Kessler Financial Services, The Berkshire Group, Manulife Financial, Boston Ventures Management and John Hancock Financial Services, Inc.
Digitas, US Portfolio: Bill captained the three-member team that completed 19 assignments totaling over 375,000 square feet for Digitas. Assignments included a 200,000 square-foot headquarters negotiation/ relocation in Boston, as well as disposition assignments in Boston, Miami, San Francisco and Salt Lake City. In addition, the team executed new leases in Detroit and Seattle to accommodate customer relationships. Mr. Barrack also coordinated the base building due diligence process for the headquarters transaction in Boston.
Nixon Peabody, Boston, MA: Bill was part of the two-member team that directed the search and implemented the strategy for a 140,000 square-foot move vs. stay (renewal) negotiation.
Mutual Funds Service Company, Boston, MA: Bill co-directed the entire search and negotiation process during the relocation and expansion of Mutual Funds' 125,000 square-foot Boston-based corporate headquarters.
Adams, Harkness & Hill, Boston, MA: Bill was the co-captain of the Team that evaluated AH&H's headquarter's needs, assessed market conditions and alternatives and negotiated a new 52,000-square-foot lease for its relocation. A large component of the process was the due diligence of the infrastructure the firm required for redundancy and to support the growth of its trading facilities.
Boston Stock Exchange, Inc., Boston, MA: Bill co-directed the technical and leasing team in the search and negotiation for the Boston Stock Exchange's data center site, as well as their executive offices and trading floor requirements, which totaled 50,000 square feet in all.
Robinson & Cole, Boston, MA: Bill was the captain of the team that evaluated Robinson & Cole's existing headquarters needs, assessed the market, and negotiated a new 40,000 square-foot lease. Bill also coordinated the architectural, mechanical and legal aspects of the negotiations. Robinson & Cole is a three-time repeat client.
Fitzhugh & Associates, Boston, MA: Bill has directed the search and negotiation processes for all of this firm's office space requirements. Fitzhugh & Associates is a five-time repeat client.
