Charles primary roles are global transaction advisory services including identifying strategies for leveraging the clients position and implementing flawless tactics to optimize results at the portfolio and deal level.
Charles secondary duties are best practice implementation and account reporting for clients. In this role he supports global client initiatives for consistency, transparency, and innovation.
For example, he facilitates and develops continuous improvement in information technology solutions for clients to support excellent service delivery with the goal of empowering clients real estate groups with the tools needed to exemplify results both upstream to the C-suite and downstream to business units.
Charles has assisted with the closing of over $130 million of obligation on over 70 transactions. Charles currently is advising clients on lease renewals, lease acquisitions, owned acquisitions, and complex portfolio dispositions.
He works on special projects supporting lease administration and FM business lines. He is working on transactions in China, Brazil, Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago, Uruguay, and the United States.
He is currently working with key individuals on Project Blue to integrate various data sources with technology solutions for real-time reporting results and client empowerment. Charles also is an Executive Committee member of the Young Guns Program and an iStream Committee member.
Delivering strategy and executing tactics for the management of strategic clients global portfolios across multiple asset types (office, industrial, land) in multiple regions for multiple solutions.
After graduating from college in 2007, Charles worked with a small entrepreneurial outlet center development firm Horizon Group Properties, Inc. (HGP), one of the top three outlet center firms in North America at that time which also had operations in mainland China.
Charles created financial models in Excel and Argus for financing packages and reporting purposes for complex 75+ tenant developments. He also created offering packages for investors in addition to sourcing capital, tenants, and investors.
He procured buyers for over $3 million dollars in land sales and also procured local businesses to operate the highest grossing food court tenants in HGPs portfolio.
Prior to graduation, Charles had two internship opportunities. With Principal Financial Group, he supported several major client relationships through assisting with underwriting joint venture real estate developments throughout the United States.
Charles began his career in real estate working for Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services in their internship program over the summer of 2006 and throughout the academic year. His main focus was on land, industrial, and retail transactional support.

Charles graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Business with the Highest Honors in December 2007.
During his tenure at UW-Madison, Charles was awarded eight scholarships from prestigious organizations such as the CCIM Institute, the Appraisal Institute, and the Graaskamp Center for Real Estate. He acquired a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with two majors: real estate and urban land economics; finance, investment, and banking.
Lastly, he developed and organized a course still in operation todayin conjunction with faculty and sponsoring institutional industry playersin international real estate; a team of students capstone the course with a trip to EXPO REAL in Munich, Germany to provide market research reports with key contacts to the sponsoring firms and the Board of the Graaskamp Center for Real Estate to further educational excellence.
