Dan McCarthy is a Senior Managing Director specializing in tenant representation in JLLs Chicago office. He represents a number of local clients as well as some of JLLs complex national/global alliance clients and is responsible for handling real estate transactions.
Dan specializes in brokerage, tenant representation, build-to-suits, portfolio strategy and planning.
Dan joined JLL in 2004. Dans experience includes large, complex lease transactions, build-to-suit transactions, consolidations, lease-versus-own analyses, master planning, portfolio strategic planning, and managing strategic alliances. During his career, Dan has completed over 10 million square feet of office transactions. Prior to JLL, Dan began his career in financial advisory services at Ernst & Young LLP.

Dan holds an MBA in Finance and Business Strategy from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management (2001) and a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Notre Dame (1996).
Dan is past president (2015) and sits on the Emeritus Board for the Chicago chapter of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties) and is a licensed Illinois real estate broker.
He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Illinois Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Dan lives in Chicago with his wife and two children.
