James Esquivel is responsible for office leasing, client account management and new business development within JLLs Dallas agency leasing group. James has a 18 year record of office leasing success, completing over 300 transactions valued at more than $230 million. He has consistently found creative leasing and marketing solutions to challenges faced by office building owners.
James was a Top Achiever for JLL in 2010, 2011 and 2014, and a Gold Achiever in 2012, 2013 and 2015.
Prior to joining JLL, James worked with Trammell Crow Company/CB Richard Ellis in the office leasing division, where he represented top clients such as Crescent Real Estate Equities, JP Morgan Chase, Rreef, TIAA-CREF and Behringer Harvard Funds. From 1999 to 2005, he served as a Leasing Director at Equity Office Properties Trust. In that role he was responsible for marketing and leasing 1.32 million s.f. of Class A office space in Far North Dallas and Las Colinas.
From 1996 to 1999, James worked for Transwestern Commercial Services, where he represented office projects totaling 2.6 million s.f. in multiple submarkets throughout Dallas. During that time he received the Dallas regions Building Team of the Year Award. The award is given by Transwestern to one property team annually based on performance and overall client satisfaction.
Prior to that, Jamesmarketed 214 commercial properties for sale nationwide while serving at FGB Realty Advisors. Sales closed on 85% of the properties with a value of more than $317 million. His responsibilities at FGB included due diligence, asset marketing, negotiating sales contracts and closing services.
James holds a B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin. He is involved in the Dallas Real Estate Council, and completed the Associate Leadership Council program (a leadership development program within The Real Estate Council). He is a Licensed Texas Real Estate Salesman.
His numerous community affiliations include: Highland Park Presbyterian Church member/Reserve Deacon, Assistant Treasurer and Usher/Greeter Ministry; Sudie Williams Elementary School (DISD) volunteer; Park Cities YMCA Partners Campaign Fundraiser; and he is a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas.
