Carl Muhlsteins team advises clients on over 2,000,000 s.f. of agencies, land and building sales. He is a member of the newly established Entertainment and New Media National Practice Group. Carl was recruited as a Vice Chairman at Cushman and Wakefield with over twenty years of brokerage and advisory roles directly with John C. Cushman, III and many leading brokerage teams.
Carls background includes all forms of tenant, landlord, and investment related assignments with a special emphasis on the entertainment industry, creative office and workplace strategies.

Carl has served in senior positions with Cushman & Wakefield, Cushman Realty Corporation, Insignia/ESG Capital Advisors and Tishman Speyer Properties. In the last five years, Carl has participated and advised in over $2 billion of transactions.
Landlord and tenant representation assignments with Skadden Arps, Sony, Warner Bros., Warner Music, Clear Channel, Technicolor, Fox Interactive Media, GE Capital, Kaiser Permanente and ICM.
Four trade mart sales involving Equitable, Vornado, ING (now Clarion Partners), and Hertz/Moinian.
Five television and motion picture studio lot sales involving Sony, NBCUniversal, NFL Networks, Hudson Pacific and Worthe Real Estate Group.
Sales of single-tenant and multi-tenant office buildings involving Sony, Kilroy, CIM, Grammys, Sumimoto Life and Shamrock Estates.
Sales of development sites involving Equitable, Playa Capital, Equity Office, AREA, Washington Holdings and Sony.
Carl is a past recipient of the IBDs Caliber Award for Broker of the Year and Chairmans Circle Award for ten of his last twelve years at Cushman & Wakefield where he was also recognized once as the top commercial broker in the Western US region. He is a recipient of the JLL 2013 Broker Culture Award, and was JLLs top producer in Southern California in 2014.
Carl is a graduate of Cal State Northridge.
Local activities and memberships include board and advisory roles for five Mayoral administrations, ULI, and LACRA. He served as a public board member of the American Institute of Architects of Greater Los Angeles and chair of the BOMA Political Action Committee. He chairs the Citizen Oversight Committee for the Los Angeles Prop F Fire Facilities Bond advising on 18 fire stations, a regional training facility and an Air Ops facility to serve both the fire and police departments. He also assisted Public Counsel and Planned Parenthood to secure regional headquarters and is an adviser in AIAs effort to develop a Center for Architecture in Los Angeles.
