Davie Berke is a vice president of Jones Lang LaSalle's retail brokerage division. He is responsible for all aspects of real estate advisory, including strategy development, tenant representation and landlord agency leasing. In addition, Mr. Berke specializes in market intelligence, strategic planning, financial consulting and overall management to better assist clients in achieving optimum value. His expertise and knowledge of the New York City real estate market has made him an invaluable resource for clients.
Davie Berke joined JLL Retail in 2012 at the firm's New York location, where he is a vice president specializing in landlord and tenant representation on both national and local levels. Prior to joining JLL, Mr. Berke gained valuable experience in the New York real estate market during his tenure at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail.
Since starting his career over 10 years ago, Mr. Berke has been responsible for leasing over 500,000 square feet of retail space on behalf of some of New York's most prominent landlord's. Most recently, he successfully represented the ownership of 587 Fifth Avenue where he effectively negotiated UK's Karen Millen's first ever United States global megastore. Mr. Berke currently represents the Stawski Organization where he is responsible for leasing over 50,000 square feet of prestigious Fifth Avenue retail space.
Mr. Berke has substantial experience implementing and executing retailer roll-out strategies on both national and regional levels. He was instrumental in bringing Maison Kayser to the United States and is now managing the company's expansion throughout the country. Additionally, Mr. Berke successfully secured the first ever United States locations for both Billabong and Desigual. Mr.Berke also works with other retailers including Burton Snowboards, Luxottica Brands, and Diesel USA.
In recognition of his accomplishments, Mr. Berke was named "JLL Top Gun" for outstanding performance and production in 2013.
Mr. Berke earned a bachelor of arts degree from Union College, where he studied economics and Spanish. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Mr. Berke is a licensed real estate broker.
