Matt Ogle is an Executive Vice President with JLL's retail brokerage practice in New York specializing in tenant representation, retail leasing, and property disposition. Mr. Ogle is helping lead the retail brokerage efforts in New York to identify opportunities and create strategic, innovative solutions for clients to help achieve their goals.
Throughout his 11-year career in commercial real estate, Mr. Ogle has developed outstanding retailer and landlord relationships and a deep understanding of best practices for leasing, expansion, development and construction. Mr. Ogle has worked with an impressive list of clients on high-profile urban leasing assignments. Most notably he was part of the team awarded The Most Significant Retail Deal of the Year, which is the transaction that is most important to the City's retail market, for "Redefining Bryant Park: The Creation of a New Retail District - 3 Bryant Park, 5 Bryant Park and 120 West 42nd Street." The team leased 160,000 square feet to retailers including Whole Foods, Tourneau, Citibank, Asics, Equinox and SoulCycle on behalf of Equity Office (The Blackstone Group).
Mr. Ogle has represented numerous national retail tenants in their strategy, expansion and disposition. Over his career he has worked exclusively with clients including Citibank, Walgreen Co./Duane Reade, Bare Minerals, East West Bank and Party City Corporation throughout Manhattan, the New York City boroughs, Northern New Jersey, Westchester County and Connecticut.
Mr. Ogle's clients include Equity Office, The Blackstone Group, The Durst Organization, Brookfield, Edward J. Minkskoff Equities, Callahan Capital Properties, Ivanhoe Cambridge, Infinity Real Estate, The InterContinental Hotel Group, Shorenstein Properties and Grid Properties
Citibank: Served as a lead broker for strategy, site selection and disposition in Manhattan
Walgreens/Duane Reade: Mr. Ogle helped oversee Walgreens expansive portfolio- managing strategy, execution, site selection, disposition and the acquisition of Duane Reade.
Bare Minerals: Mr. Ogle was responsible for Bare Minerals Manhattan strategy, helping complete the disposition of their Times Square and Herald Square stores
Mr. Ogle serves on the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) Retail Stores Committee and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). His accolades include Real Estate Board of New York "Most Significant Retail Deal of the Year" Award (2014), Co-Star Power Broker, Top Achiever and Top Producer Award Winner (multiple years). He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University and was a member of the University's Management Fellows Program. He is a licensed real estate broker in New York and salesperson in New Jersey.
