David Chapin is a Senior Vice President, and leads a team responsible for new client development, Tenant Representation, and cross selling JLLs global platform to the Florida marketplace.
David is currently overseeing the repositioning and anchor tenant lease up of Sea Harbor Office Center, a vacant, 365,000 SF Class A Corporate Headquarters office building.
With 25 years of commercial real estate experience, David brings considerable local market knowledge and expertise in complex deal structure to JLLs local leasing and management team. Prior expertise includes tenant representation, agency leasing, land and office investment sales.
As one of the top office brokers established in the Central Florida Region, David has completed over 3 million square feet of office transactions. In the past two years, he has added value to over 45 office transactions totaling approximately 600,000 square feet with a transaction value of over $83 million.
Prior to joining JLL David led the Office Group at Grubb & Ellis, where he was employed for the past ten years and recognized as the Top Orlando Producer.
He has represented over 300 companies such as American Pioneer Life Insurance, CBS Radio, Fiserv, Foley & Lardner, Greenspoon Marder, P.A., Morgan, Colling & Gilbert, P.A., Pepsi-Cola, and Rissman, Weisberg, Barrett, Hurt, Donahue & McLain, P.A., and Texas Instruments.
David has been acknowledged by a number of associations and industry-related organizations for his office brokerage production including but not limited to the following: Grubb & Ellis Circle of Excellence (representing top 3% brokers nationally), CoStar Power Broker (multiple times), and NAIOP Office Broker of the Year (3rd place).
David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Texas in Austin.
He is professionally associated with both NAIOP and Corenet. He has been involved with several Orlando community organizations including both First Presbyterian Church and Orlando Hockey League.
