Tom Weitzel is an Executive Vice President with JLL in the Philadelphia, PA office. Tom delivers exceptional services and solutions to tenants, owners, and investors.
With experience in both tenant representation and agency leasing, Tom focuses on helping tenants minimizes costs and optimize efficiency in an ever changing workplace and economic environment. He also works with owners, on select assets, with market expertise to maximize their return on investment.
Tom began his career in 2007 with The Staubach Company then joined JLL following the merger by the companies. Tom currently represents multiple tenants throughout Southeast Pennsylvania. Tom has represented such companies as Bank of America, Lockheed Martin, Great American Insurance, ACE, Marsh & McLennan Companies, Jazz Pharmaceutical, Olin, Morgan Lewis, St. Mary Medical Center.
Since 2007, Tom has completed over 350 transactions involving tenant representation, agency leasing, dispositions, and strategic consulting. These transactions represent over 5,000,000 sf within the Philadelphia Market.
Tom consistently ranks among the top revenue producers in the JLL Philadelphia office. Tom earned Gold Achiever status placing him in the top 25% of all JLL advisors nationwide.
Prior to joining The Staubach Company, Tom served as a Captain in the US Army. His military career progression took him from an enlisted Private to a Commissioned Officer.
Tom deployed with the 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005. During his tour of duty in Southern Baghdad, he led a Tank Platoon and a Scout Platoon before taking over as Troop Executive Officer; second in command of 136 Soldiers. Tom was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Iraq.
Tom served as a member of JLL's national Leadership Council Advisory Board (2014-2015). Tom graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Degree in Finance from Arizona State University.
While enrolled in ROTC at ASU, Tom was a Distinguished Military Graduate and was awarded the George C. Marshall Award; an annual award given to the top 10% of cadets in the country.
Tom and his wife have volunteered their time supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Habitat for Humanity. He is part of the 2016 LEADERSHIP Philadelphia Core Class.
