Mr. Rodriguez is an agency leasing representative for JLL's portfolio of shopping centers in Central and Southern Florida. He is responsible for their overall development and execution of leasing strategies. Additionally, Mr. Rodriguez is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with local, regional, national and international retailers. He has vast market and retailer knowledge to assist clients with meeting ownership goals, and to help create and implement a strategic merchandising.
Mr. Rodriguez brings more than 21 years of retail, management, operations, specialty leasing and agency leasing experience. As a General Manager for JLL, he was most recently responsible for the day-to-day operations of South Park Mall, a 850,000-square-foot regional mall in San Antonio, Texas. Additionally, he was actively involved in the redevelopment and remerchandising of the property, which consisted of attracting Lowe's, Best Buy, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings and Longhorn Steakhouse. Additional work experience includes serving as a Specialty Leasing Manager at General Growth Properties (GGP) and owning a real estate and mortgage company in Miami. Throughout his career, Mr. Rodriguez has developed extensive expertise with middle market regional malls and specialty centers with a Hispanic customer base.
Mr. Rodriguez attended Saint Leo University while serving in the United States Armed Forces. He received his Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX) and Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designations from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), which he is an active member. He holds a real estate license in the states of Florida and Texas. Mr. Rodriguez has received several high achievement awards with JLL including a Da Vinci award and an honorable mention in the United States Congress for assisting in bringing the first book store deal to the Southside of San Antonio.
