Harry has a track record of structuring complex real estate transactions, such as build-to-suits, critical facility leases and building acquisitions. Over the last five years, he has completed real estate transactions valued in excess of $5 billion for the regions leading corporations, including government contractors, information technology companies and telecommunications companies.
Inova Health Care System: Inova is Northern Virginias leading not-for-profit health care provider, serving more than one million people annually in the Washington, DC area. Since 2001, Mr. Klaff has represented Inova on a variety of real estate matters reporting to both the Director of Real Estate and the Director of Strategy and Development. Assignments have included advisory for the acquisition of land for health care facilities, building acquisitions, disposition of surplus real estate and the creation and implementation of a strategy for Inovas administrative functions.
Sallie Mae: Mr. Klaff and his team provide real estate advisory services for Sallie Mae to support the companys business operations. Assignments have included portfolio strategy, national facility acquisitions and dispositions and development advisory. In 2008, Mr. Klaff completed over 350,000 square feet of assignments for Sallie Mae, including the acquisition of a 157,000 square foot operations center in Christiana, DE.
Serco, Inc. / SI International, Inc.: Serco, Inc. is the U.S. affiliate of Serco Group, PLC, a worldwide professional services company. In December, 2008, Serco purchased SI International, a Reston, Virginia based company that provides mission critical solutions for the Department of Defense and other government agencies. Mr. Klaff served as client manager for a team that provided transaction management and lease administration for a significant portfolio, comprised of approximately 1 million square feet.
County of Fairfax: Mr. Klaff and his team provide a wide variety of real estate services for Fairfax County, including transaction management, lease administration and consulting services. In 2009, Mr. Klaff was on the team that negotiated a ground lease and development agreement on the Countys behalf with a local developer for the planned Wiehle Avenue Metro station.
